Great piece of kit.
Cleaned my chimney today and I’m super happy with this kit. Just the right amount of flex in the rods. Brush cleans well and allows for relatively easy change between upward and downward strokes. Recommended product.

Good basic set, rods are quite flexible which is good in one respect but needs to be considered for the job in hand ?
This is a good value set with all the bits you need for basic chimney sweeping and unblocking drains. The brush is a good size (about 40cm) and the bristles are quite flexible so it will clean a range of apertures, you would need something smaller if you are trying to clean 5 or 6 inch flue liners. The rods have greater flexibility than professional sets, can be a good thing for getting around bends but they can fold back on themselves if they meet a bit of an obstruction in the chimney.This is a good value set with all the bits you need for basic chimney sweeping and unblocking drains. Good price and easy to use
Worked great. Easy to use and cleared my chimney by about one metre. Saves money on getting a Sweep in. Just seal off your fireplace with an old sheet whilst leaving a hole for the rods to be added.

Chimney sweeping
Bought this item to sweep my chimney as the cost of hiring a professional was in my opinion excessive. Sweeping in my area is anything from £75-£120!! So it was a no brainer. The product was easy to use and did the job. Be warned if your doing it yourself it is a very messy job but worth every penny of the cost saved. I will now do it once a year to keep soot to a minimum. The brush is good quality and the right size (bigger than a flu brush) and gets the job done. My chimney had not been swept for a couple of years and I removed a couple of bucket fulls of soot. Defiantly a yearly job from now on. Great value for money. Flexible enough plastic rods to get round fairly tight bends (drain and chimney's only, I wouldn't attempt trying to get it round a U-bend on a loo, that's too tight I'd say). Will take a reasonable amount of force, but kinks (bends detrimentally) if forced too much. However you may have spare rods left over unless your pipe is 20 odd feet, or you can buy more individual poles if needed. I managed to clear a fully stuffed up 12ft drain with only one rod kinking, but still had two rods left over anyway. Can't do much better for the money to be honest (I paid £16).Great value for money.
