I remember seeing this movie back when I was in Jr High around 1968-69. Plot is a little thin (maybe even hokey), however, the flying scenes are top notch, as there was very little in the way of models used. Great movie if you want to see some mosquitos in the air, probably some of the best color footage in existance. Cliff Robertson's acting is very good, although the part was no challenge for him. Of course, his being a pilot in real life helped make the cockpit scenes much more realistic.
Excellent 1964 war movie (remastered) in color about one of the most daring sortie by the RAF in WW2 . The De Havilland D98 Mosquitoes in the movie are real ones (not computer generated) and they are fantastic : were called "The wooden wonders" . I saw this movie in theater when I was 20 years old and 50 years later , on my big wide screen tv I felt the same emotions ! The action is great and the acting very good . Highly recommended to all the " WARBIRDS enthousiasts "

AN action pack film about outstanding depiction of wartime bravery and courage. And every word is true story.. The film is worth dime spent to capture our brave men who fought for our country in 1944. Thank you.

This is a typical 1960s film with poor by today's standards special effects. But the Mosquito bombers were excellent. The plot was a little thin, but it was enjoyable. I purchased the film because of the planes, and I was not disappointed!

An old favorite from my younger days. No CGI in this one, much of the photography was done with real Mosquitoes. Some models, but not overdone. If you love the “Mossie”, this is a must have movie.
