    On The Other Hand

I've owned this book several times and lent it out to people who also loved it sufficiently well not to give it back. The book is an eye opener, not just about its concepts but also it teaches you to think about alternative reasons why things happen or about how they have become the way they are.

  • Out of the box economics in accessible anecdotal form.

Hugely entertaining and very readable. I read it, bought the sequel (also excellent) and bought another copy as a gift.

  • Eye opening book

Fantastic book. It’s main analysis focuses on the grey and black economy in America. However what I really enjoy is how it highlights the reality of certain things i.e. drug dealing amongst other things. Hence why it is eye opening. After reading this, you come to realise how your understanding of certain things is completely wrong.

  • Great book, thought-provoking

Some of the topics are great, especially estate agency and the real reason Crime fell under Mayor Gilliani in New York in the 90s. In this day of 'fake news's, it is good to step back and consider how statistics and data facts underpin the things we do.
