About this product

Product Information

'I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.' So begins the tale of Kvothe - currently known as Kote, the unassuming innkeepter - from his childhood in a troupe of traveling players, through his years spent as a near-feral orphan in a crime-riddled city, to his daringly brazen yet successful bid to enter a difficult and dangerous school of magic. In these pages you will come to know Kvothe the notorious magician, the accomplished thief, the masterful musician, the dragon-slayer, the legend-hunter, the lover, the thief and the infamous assassin.

    My Favorite, Highly recommend

I found about KKC (King Killer Chronicles) in 2010, when i stumbled upon this book in a store, since then i've read it more times than i can count, and bought multiple copies so i can lent to my friends and family :P thats how much i love this series... I currently own a portuguese version of both books, one english version of wise men's fear and 2 copies of the name of the wind in english. Also both the portuguese and english version of the slow regard of silent things, which if you have read KKC and havent read you must!!! Personal collection apart this book has a lot to offer, it's smart, well constructed and contains so much you'll only find on your second or third re read. im currently re-reading it for like the 9th time and i found couple things i hadn't noticed before. Do buy this ...

  • Absolutely amazing book

This book is honestly the best book I have ever read, Rothfuss's writing is just beautiful. It is a fantastic story that grabs you & stays with you long after you've finished. I've recommended it to everyone I know & I am very much looking forward to the third book.
