Connects in seconds to both the 4G mobile network and your phone. Only complaint is it doesn't connect to a laptop or MacBook - not really a big issue but would top it off beautifully. This camera is crystal clear and alerts me on my phone when a human sized object or larger crosses the field of view (my driveway of my new build house). I can also control the camera from my phone and move the lens in all directions
