    Shockingly Erotic and Philosophical Book on Sexuality

    Catherine Millet's sexual memoir, "The Sexual Life of Catherine M.," will come as a shock to most readers, as she records the numerous sexual encounters she has had with disarming detail. It is sex from a mature woman's perspective, and a mature French woman's point of view, at that. Millet has not set out to titillate or shock; although both experiences are present.
