Set-up requires patience and Persistence
System update requires a lot of patience. Failed several times despite a strong wi-fi connection. It eventually worked! The Google TV interface is similar to other Android TV GUIs (Nvidia Shield Pro (Android) TV is still the benchmark for these devices). System RAM is a meagre 4GB and II have loaded and installed only a modest number of streaming apps before spa ran out. The ABC iView app won't run because Google has removed the provision to disable IPv6. For some reason iView and other apps needs IPv6 option to be disabled. iView just spends a lot of time 'authentication" user's login. Other niggles, 1) Non-standard wall wart (ac power adapter) lacks the gigabyte Ethernet port that the Google Ultra Chromecast has built-in. I prefer existing installed ethernet to use over wi-fi. 2) The use of USB-C as the prime connector to replace micro-USB connector is a good thing. 3) Additional storage with an optional microSD slot would have been a good thing if Google was going to persist with such meagre storage. 4) Although looks count for some people this is an example of placing form over function. While looking good, it still feels cheap, despite the higher retail price. 4) Some apps may download but fail to instal. (BeamaFilm app downloaded, but failed to installed). The instruction to go to Google's online help is very limited. In this instance, the recommendation to clear the cache and data of the Google Play Store app could have been helpful if this actually worked, but no instruction provided is this fails. So app cannot be installed.
