Size is accurate. Would suit the beach with a smooth bottom. Not suitable for my purpose in the river with gravely bottom. Soles are quite soft & too thin for this purpose. Can feel every tiny pebble & rock. Don't think they would protect your foot if there were the slightest bit of sharp debris on the bottom.
