      Interesting Trio of Lesser-Known Satyajit Ray Films in a Single Set

      This triple feature film dvd set of Satyajit Ray releases offers an overview of three lesser-known works by the Indian master. KAPURUSH (THE COWARD) is a memorable drama with superlative performances by the three leads and is presented in a notably well-defined print. MAHAPURUSH (THE HOLY MAN) is a thoroughly engaging comedy, as a trio of Calcutta intellectuals resolve to unmask a fake prophet / seer. The third item included, unfortunately marred by vertical barring, some pixel decay, and a fair amount of underlit graininess, is a detective mystery featuring Ray's own invented sleuth Feluda, with the director adapting his own story for film. It's one of the minor creations of Mr. Ray.

      Awesome series good DVD's

      This DVD set of all the episodes is in English and apparently has scenes which were cut which are in Japanese with English subtitles. This appears to be region free - certainly it plays on my PAL Bluray. OFC its a classic series. I am very pleased with it. The opening titles are different to the UK broadcast.
