Great idea but functionality not so great.
Great idea, except the corners aren’t cut out to slide the ice chest inside of the base that bolts to the truck. All that would be needed is to shave the base corners and then trim the ears on the ice chest so it will fit between the base and top. The locking mechanism doesn’t fit snug so there is play between the top and base. This is a problem since you can get a crow bar underneath it and unfortunately the steele Isn’t thick enough to resist bending with a crow bar... it would be worth the money after those improvements.Great idea, except the corners aren’t cut out to slide the ice chest inside of the base that bolts to the truck. 2015 Ram 2500 in floor storage cover
The factory covers are plastic with an integral plastic hinge. I hardly use the one on the passenger side, yet it broke (probably from rear seat passengers stepping on it, under the mats). Dodge quoted me $206.00 for a replacement plastic cover! (I spent less than half that on two!!) This new cover fit the holes perfectly. And it has a lock on the cover! The only drawback/difference is that the original removable bin must be placed under the cover, and is no longer removable. Not a big deal to me, as I have only removed the bins a handful of times in five years! Very happy with these covers.The factory covers are plastic with an integral plastic hinge. cheap, poorly made
it has a huge gap between the bottom and the security lid and the lock is cheap. I could just about pry this open with my bare fingers.
