The shipping box has such a snug fit around the book that it would have been impossible to place bouble wrap around it. To avoid damage it really needs an oversized box, a second box or a more sturdy one.

Book shipped quickly and came in padded envelope wrapped in paper (may I suggest you consider wrapping books in plastic to avoid rain damage?) and had no damage.
