Sex & the City was truly a revolutionary series. For the first time, women were seen on television in powerful roles where the men were sidekicks, and the conversation had no boundaries. Just look at all of the copycats out there today: from Lipstick Jungle to Yasmin birth control pill commercials, everyone wants to portray the fabulous, fancy-free lifestyle of a powerful woman and her gaggle of friends. But what really makes S&TC stand above all the others is its heart. These women become your friends because you learn all about what makes them tick. They aren't heartless, cold bitches, but people whom you could see being friends with, or could identify with. They have it all but something is always right out of their grasp, and so you cheer along with them as they succeed ... Sex & the City was truly a revolutionary series.
