About this product

Product Information

Helium-pitched prodigies Alvin and the Chipmunks set out to prove their musical mastery in this rhythm game inspired by 2007's live action film starring Jason Lee. Alvin, Simon, and Theodore dream of performing at the "Rockathonapalooza," but first the trio must test their chops at school proms, forest arenas, and other smaller-scale venues. As in most titles in the genre, the action involves tapping buttons as scrolling symbols pass over a fixed target.

Perfect timing results in higher scores and the potential to earn combo bonuses. The licensed soundtrack offers 40 songs, including chipmunk renditions of such hits as "All the Small Things," "It's Tricky," "Heartbreak Hotel," "All Star," "Shiny Happy People," "Stand," and "Slow Ride." Alvin and the Chipmunks is startup publisher Brash Entertainment's first video game in a planned portfolio of movie-themed projects.

  • Fun But Tricky Little Chipmunk Game

Alvin & the Chipmunks is a rhythm game that tries to drive you insane quickly but is fun for the whole family. You will need both a wii-mote & the nunchuck to play single player, and an extra pair for head to head. In story mode, each stage has the chipmunks playing 3 songs which must be played though to advance to the next locale. Rhythm 'stars' flow out from the center of the screen to one of the four corners where a larger star waits as the precision point. If the stars flow to one of the bottom corners you will swing the remotes, if they go to the top you will hold 'b' & swing for right stars and 'z' and swing for left. Miss too many in a row the song ends, but the more you hit perfectly the more combo points you rack up which will unlock new stages and bonus songs. This seemed easy ...

  • Love Alvin and the Chipmunks for the Wii!!!

I bought this game online for my kids. They are always wanting cool games and the games that mom picks out are usually learning games. My girls loved the fact that I bought a game like Alvin and the Chipmuncks without even playing it. My two oldest girls (8&7) like playing this game very much. Even my three year old loves to dance along with the songs they sing. Very Hip music and fun to dance to. It is easy to play and it is fun trying to unlock all the songs!

  • Pretty good

This game is okay. Really easy. I beat it. I bought it for my son but its a little advanced for him so I will still keep it though till he can play it. Really good songs on it too. It is kinda like a guitar hero but easier for the kids. I would say go buy it.

  • alvin and the chipmunk for the wii 2007

bought the game for the kids and they have enjoyed playing with it. easy to use and fun for them. very kid freindly. would definatly buy the second version of this game.

  • Alvin and the Chipmunks big disappointment

The game is not easy for little kids to do, and only has one option. There are stars that you have to hit with the remote, and that is it. There is nothing else to the game. The stars get faster and it is boring. My son loves the movie so we were really unhappy that the game is so boring and basically is a rip off for the money that you spend on Wii games.
