The card was delivered quickly via GLS international to Italy in just 9 days. Assembly quality looks good initially, upon closer inspection the thermal pads were making partial contact with the ICs. Being low power (i226 TDP is 0.9W at 1Gbit/s and 1.4W at 2.5) this won't affect it much. The card runs on a PCIE bridge (ASM1182) which limits it to PCIE 2.0 x1, while both the NICs are pcie 3.1. Curious to see if it causes any bottleneck. Further feedback once I will be able to test it properly.
