    Great Snap Caps

Did some research on different brands. This is the best by far. It's spring loaded so the firing pin has something to contact and spring back. The other brands, the brass back seems to fall apart after little use or the coating will flake off and make its way into the barrel. This brand was recommended. So far, no issues.

the first one I tried in my CZ PCR got stuck after pulling the trigger just a couple of times. I had to disassemble the slide and tried to pry the snap cap out with a screw driver, but ended up using a rod to force it out. It probably won't work a second time now. My CZ PCR has never had an issue with ammo. I have used the same brand of snap caps on my .32ACP's with no issues.

  • quality vs. price

Yeah, we know it cost more than the "other guys" stuff and that is what we thought when we were unsure on what to purchase. I checked the comments of pros on this and they still said you get what you pay for....well, I always tell my family to; "cry once" when you get something of more value....it's cheaper than paying less, multiple times!

  • Tipton Snap Cap - High Visibility

These caps wear well and are highly visible. I could not find them at Gander Mountain or Cabella's; they carry a product that is dark brown and in my opinion can be mistaken for a live round. When I crack my breach these are visible. That is important to me, as I dry fire my pistol.

  • not the longest life

I do a lot of dry fire practice more so than most people I know. that being said I haven't had them a month and the metal in the back is already getting to the point that the firing pin will soon be falling on little to nothing. I have a pair of A-Zoom for 45 acp and the rubber primer seems to last forever. so for a couple bucks more one could have a much longer lasting product. it is note worthy that they are not the worst i have seen do to the fact that they at least do have a spot for your firing pin to strike against but still, why not jest go with the rubber backing.
