The Young Victoria is a period drama set in the year 1836 and this DVD is based on the courtship and reign of England's longest serving monarch, Queen Victoria. The Young Victoria stars Emily Blunt as Victoria and Rupert Friend as Albert, the prince who stole Victoria's heart and became an integral part of the monarchy. Viewers will witness romance and the struggle for power and respect along with authentic costumes, scenery, and language that are native to the mid 1800s in England. This DVD, produced by Sony Pictures, is filmed in full color with Dolby sound, subtitles, and widesceen mode with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and has a run time of 105 minutes. Special bonus extras included at the end of the drama include deleted scenes, a brief look into the real life of the Queen, the making of the movie, and the history of the costumes that were used in the filming of The Young Victoria.     Beautiful Love Story

    Love the DVD although it takes liberties with history. It is still worth watching after all it is not a historical documentary. The costumes are beautiful the scenery breathtaking and the music. And the acting fantastic. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert had a very good love story.
