The only bread book you need to own .... the best!!

I have been baking bread for years and probably have 20 bread cookbooks. I like this one the best and bought it after I had checked it out of the library too many times. You will need a stand mixer like a KitchenAid for best results. But I have hand kneaded these breads, And i have mix them with a handmixer with dough hooks. All turn out well. I love the potato dill bread, but added more dill. The pictures are very helpful. And these are tested recipes, so they work. Trying hamburger buns next. I make bread weekly so have lots of new recipes to work on. This book is an investment, not a purchase. You will be rewarded with compliments. Also, you know what's in your bread. Not lots of additives and ingredients you can't pronounce.

  • Yummy fresh bread made easy

Cooks Illustrated is always a source I go to. The book is comprehensive with great pictures to help you along. It has recipes for beginners to those who are skilled with bread making. Bread isn't as hard as it seems to make and the beauty of watching a dough rise and the smell of yeast rising is amazing and when the loaf is baked there is nothing more satisfying than seeing that loaf and slicing it and spreading butter all over it. This is a great book for starters to novices.
