  • read it for the story. I would recommend this ONLY for the story!

I am a writer. I have also taught Creative Writing. I find the writing to be horrible. Confusing. Distractive. HOWEVER,as I tell my students, 'IT'S THE TALE STUPID'and that makes the difference. This writer probably never took a grammar class and missed PoV and reference pronoun instructions. Once again, however, 'IT'S THE TALE STUPID' which makes this interesting. It's readable. But, it's also a problem for those of us who know better to keep track of who is saying what to whom. The rating 3/5 is for the tale. The writing? One star.

  • good book I like this author

  • A good read...

...but not quite up to the level of the earlier books in the series. The writing style is a little different - don't know if that's due to the collaboration of W.E.B. Griffin and his son, or just the passing of time changing Griffin's style...but still, all in all, a good book.
