  • Not For A Dummy Origami

PLEASE AVOID the book "Origami With Dollar Bills" by Duy Nguyen unless you are some sort of scientist savant freak of nature. I excelled in mathematics and logic in college, yet I couldn't learn how to fold a dollar bill from this book. The illustrations are unclear, perhaps drawn by a third-grader with a protractor; text instructions are minimal, perhaps uttered by his straining mute classmate. The book supposedly will teach a person how to make origami critters using one, two, or three bills. Prior to looking at the book, I had hopes of giving origami bills as Christmas gifts--slightly less boring than a few bucks in a greeting card. Since I was unable to complete even the easiest of the projects, I will be giving the book as a gift instead...to Cousin Phil who I ...

  • The Best Origami Book

I received this book as a gift when I was a teenager years ago and loved it so much, I just bought it for my 8 year old brother for Christmas. It is a great book, and by far the best origami book that uses money as a medium. There are lots of animals but also very cute 2 piece suits. The book includes 1,2,and 3 bill constructions. Also, many of them are flat when finished, so I make them and put them in cards as a way to jazz up birthday or graduation gifts.

  • Not worth it

The 'animals' just look like waded dollar bills. The directions are inadequate. The results are worse. Don't waste your money. Find another book.

  • Origami Made Easy

This book is one of the better books on Origami I've seen. The instructions are easy to follow and each step has a photograph to illustrate the process. But I think the best thing about this book that really sets it apart is how the pages are thickly laminated and printed sideways which allow it to stand on its own for easy viewing.

  • No ka oi, Indeed the best.
