Definitely use a little loctite like it says to, nothing too strong, not red. I tightened them a little bit extra but definitely use something to hold in place. Had to get longer bolts is my only gripe, 1.25 and 1.5 long, but I got them long enough to use the rubber gasket too so it doesn't tear up the paint on the bike. Looks great
