Since this Klipsch product is easy to connect and fine tune, you are sure to hear the boom within minutes after you hook it up, especially enjoying the output and weight that this piece of audio equipment adds to rock music. The built-in Class D digital amplifier has an efficiency rate of 85 percent or higher, which prevents your stereo system from losing output to heat. Among subwoofers, the Klipsch SW-450 is popular with both audiophiles and general music fans. It handles 200 watts of nominal power with momentary bursts of 450 watts. If the unit is placed within a few feet of the listener, then less power is needed. The frequency response ranges from 28 Hz to 120 Hz while its sensitivity measures at 115 dB. The unit's high-excursion driver keeps the bass thumping and the sonic distortion to a minimum. When used with Klipsch speakers, this subwoofer functions instinctively.     Excellent Bass

    This turned out to be too much for the application. Keeping the volume down obviously solves this problem but the SW-350 would have been more than enough after repairing a used one. But it is nice to have the extra kick when needed. Both models work well with each other, filling in any gaps be it volume or tone. You will not be disappointed.

    Fantastic sound.
