Awesome guitar - Worth more than the cost.
Let’s face it.. this is not a Gibson. It’s not even on par with my Epiphone Les Paul Plus-top Pro, much less a Gibson. However, I do have to say that this is more fun to play and for the price, one heck of a guitar. I have to laugh somewhat at those who say this feels heavy. Having been used to playing my Plus-Top Pro, this thing feels light as a feather to me. It’s a dream to play and I’ve found it much easier to navigate the fret-board than on my other Les Paul. Also, being much lighter, I don’t find myself getting fatigued after hours of playing. While some might argue, I feel this is basically an SG in a Les Paul body. I own two Epiphone SG guitars and it’s the same thickness and much the same sound. I do feel, however, that it has a better sound than my much more expensive SG. ... Others may disagree but that’s a matter of personal taste. Also the pickups on this are not as “growly” as the Probuckers on my Plus-Top pro, which in some cases is an advantage. I actually feel I can play a wider range of music on the LP 100. The pickups can be a little muddy on the base side but all in all, this guitar has a really good sound. I got the guitar in ebony and it is really a work of art. The finish is very glossy and a pleasure to eyes to view. For the cost of the guitar I would say I’m extremely impressed. From what I’ve read the tuners can be hit and miss, but my guitar stays in tune very well even when really cranking on it and doing bend after bend. I have to tune my guitars with Grovers and high-end Klusons just as much as this one. I feel this is an amazing guitar for the price and you get much more than you pay for. I see no problems gigging with this, although I can’t speak about using it long-term for such a purpose as I haven’t been down that road yet. But I would say, just from the great quality of sturdiness of the guitar, that wouldn’t be a problem. I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and am having a ball playing this thing. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a good, quality rock style guitar but not wanting to bust the bank getting it.

The finish on this 1993 is great
The wood grain used back in 1993 looks wonderful. This Gloss, 3 piece vertical wood used looks better than a lot of newer finishes out there. I knew going in that I'd have to put some money into it for the upgrades I wanted but hey, it's mine & I'll spend the money because when you look at it up close, it's just a beautiful looking guitar. I'm glad I own it & I'll really be happy once I've got it 100% complete.The wood grain used back in 1993 looks wonderful. Les Paul with training wheels.
Bought for my son who is learning. Even with 25 years of playing I would add this to my arsenal. Great for studio as well as gigs and at half the weight of a Les Paul my back is appreciative. This is a great first "real" guitar as well as it will age just as well as I have, ok maybe better.

GREAT GUITAR FOR THE MONEY!
My go to guitar has always been my Gibson SG Voodoo, but after buying this Les Paul 100 I find myself grabbing it every time I play. I sounds great! It feels great! It's not a Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty, but it doesn't cost $8,000.00 either. This is a great guitar for anyone, entry level or experienced musician on a budget you won't be disappointed!
