First issued in the early 1980s this kit can't compete against the newer Revell AG (Germany) kit. It's not worth what many sellers ask for. However, it's still good for beginners or a quick weekend build to hang from your ceiling. It seems the Heller kit might have originally been designed as a snap together as the main parts (fuselage/wings) do snap together, making dry fitting easy. The gaping interior is lacking in detail, and while you get a crew figure it's only one crew figure. Some people might think this two engined C-160 kit is too big for 1:72 scale as it's slightly bigger than a 1:72 four engined C-130, however in real life the C-160 is actually slightly larger than the C-130.

I had this model 15 years ago and when we moved it was damaged beyond repair. I finally realized that I would enjoy building a new one. Found this one and purchased it. The model arrived in two days.
