In Sega Soccer Slam for GameCube, players can choose the primary mode of gameplay, Quest, which is a voyage of 10 matches, ultimately aiming to reach the Continental Cup. You have the ability to earn rewards and monetary compensation by winning and successfully completing mini-challenges as you progress. The Soccer Shop offers merchandise such as Dukes Superstar shin pads which increases a player’s ability to steal possession of the ball during the game. With a Practice Mode to get you accustomed to the game, Sega Soccer Slam for GameCube also includes a round-robin of match-ups. In the heavier-played, Exhibition Mode, players can choose their opponent, weather and stadium. Six of the nine stadiums will be made available to the player as he/she completes certain achievements and tasks. Playing on a field which is half the usual size and a diminished team of only three players and a goalkeeper who is controlled by the computer, there’s much more scope for action with the forced quick pace of the game. The game’s players display their physique in their animation, clearly indicating their plus points and negatives. One particular instance is how the female finesse player is without doubt, an excellent passer, but also an extremely weak finisher and forward.
