The Sharkbanz straps arrived in good condition. It appears to be a moderately strong magnet encased in a rubber strap (similar to a heavy duty watch strap). The magnet enclisure and strap are one molded unit, so if the strap breaks it's not as simple as putting on a new strap. Ridiculously overpriced for what it is, but hopefully it actually is as effective as is claimed. Hopefully I'll never find out.
