Probably the best gaming headset in it's price bracket that actually punches up a bit. If you know what the HD58X Jubilees are they are very close to that quality of sound. The 58Xs are a bit better of course but it's not a drastic improvement. I have a fairly larger melon and these fit me very well and are quite comfortable. I wear them for extended periods of time and have yet to find them to be either hot or uncomfortable. Anyway if you can find these for $100 or less it's a no brain'er at their normal price they're still a good buy. I also have my beloved Phillips SHP9500s and these are a step above those. If I had to say where they slot in among popular headphones they're between the SHP9500 and the 58X Jubilee being closer to the 58X's. Anyway if you can get them at the right price I don't think anyone will regret their purchase...Read full review

Sennheiser makes some of the best audio equipment in the world; I figured they knew how to tune a headset to a gamer's sensibility. I was right. This is one of the best headsets available anywhere, in my opinion. It works with any source you'd care to throw at it, so long as you use the appropriate adapter. Auto mute is activated when you push the mic boom up, and there's a volume knob on the right earcup. They are deceptively durable, despite their light weight, and are an open--ear design, which means sound bleeds a little into the room, but that also gives the sound a little airiness. this helps the midrange a bit, which is useful for directional sounds. You'll find enemies a little easier to spot with these. Don't get me wrong, the frequency response is quite broad on these headphones, just don't call them muddy. Every sound is articulate, pronounced, and impactful. If you can find these discontinued gems, get them. If you spend any time in a headset, you won't regret the purchase. Read full review

Sounds great and mic is very clear and accurate. Does need more power to drive them than the 38x. Removable plug is a big plus.

excellent quality and sound. ive had a couple gaming headsets between corsair and steelseries, but these feel like a whole new level, as if an audiophile built a headset.

Best comfort of any headset I've tried. Also, amazing audio quality. I'd like a shorter cord, but that's not a big deal.
