    Excellent Printer

    Had one of these before but bit expired after over 75,000 copies printed. Although no longer made, I had to find another not the least to continue to use our stock of cartridges which do not fit any of the replacement machines. Hope this one lats as long.

    Great Printer & Easy to use but beware HP will lock out any unbranded print catridges

    This is one of the best printers I have ever had. It prints quickly and has a good detail. The only problem is a huges and unreasonable HP programing updates that causing brand new unbranded cartridges ( some time HP ones too) to stop working or even stop them from starting to work. HP constantly bombard your computer with updates of this product. These updates have caused, any and all unbranded printer cartridges to fail. Making "instant ink" the only way of economically printing with this printed. This can work out expensive & the HP program can still lock you out of using your own printer and your own cartridges, without any way of over riding cartridge error messages, forcing the printer not to print. So I suggest you stick to a Epson ET 2500 with its own refillable constant ink ...

    Be wary of newer HP OfficeJet printers - many don't support refillable or compatible inks so check!

    HP are now very open about their policy of blocking non-HP inks using firmware (and other means) that in their latest generation of OfficeJet printers. This is really disgraceful by HP. Older HP OfficeJet printers (particular the excellent OfficeJet X series with 95,000 monthly duty cycle and 9,000/7,000 capacity inks) didn't have this non-OEM cartridge blocked problem, so look for old-new (unused) models of these and other earlier OfficeJet Pro models, if you plan to save money on refillable or non-HP compatible cartridges.You can buy cheap refillable cartridges online for HP older OfficeJet models with auto-reset chips, plus bulk high quality ink specially designed for HP printers for round £30-£40 for 4 large bottles offering huge savings over original HP cartridges and even compatible ...
