    Sound for a friend.

    I purchased a Boss ME-50B for a friend. My friend is a bass player. While I never actually heard it yet, I felt I had to relay the fact that he is happy with the unit. The unit I purchased was used and came without a power supply or manual. I was able to download a manual from Roland/Boss, as they have them online. He is happy about the price, the quality of sound, and the support from the manufacturer. Once he incorporates the new sounds into his bands format, I will be able to give an amended view of it. EBay asked for a review NOW, so this is it.

    Boss ME-50-B owner's review

    This item was purchased to replace an identical item that unfortunately, was water damaged. I have had the (original) ME-50-B for over three years when it was damaged. I immediately replaced it with a used ME-50-B (in excellent condition). This method was less expensive than having the original repaired. I only use a limited number of the possible settings but that's my preference, not a limitation of the device. It also works very well for electric guitar. I am very pleased with the performance of this device and would suggest any bass player considering external effects to give it a try. It provides a lot of options for the price, especially vs. even a couple of separate effects pedals. So.... I am very happy with the performance of this fine Boss pedal (and the ME-70 I ...

    great ebayer, fast delivery, great condition, love it!

    excellent buy. i got all my effects in one nice pedal. the distortions are my favorite. the possiblities of tones and effects are endless. it is really easy to learn how to use. just plug in and play. it works like a regular stomp box except with a ton more effects. if you want a wide variety of sounds, look no further. much easier to just have one pedal that does everything you need it to do. its also built like a tank. boss makes the best pedals without a doubt.

    I am biased toward the Boss Roland line and dont have a lot of experience so excuse my idiocy.

    Going from a Line 6 bass pod to the me50B the sound quality of the me50 stands out. The bass pod was good and I enjoyed it , it did alot and did it pretty good ,with some but not alot of effect variation control , but the personal variation allowed on the me50 is easy and with 3 control knobs on each sound , let alone layering the 3 pedal controlled sound categories each having 3 knobs , its tight ,nuanced fun. I love the Boss Roland line, this met high expectations. Its like having a table top control panel you can put on the floor and have 3 stomp boxes and an expression pedal.

    Easy to use analog controls.

    What a pleasure! Every effect is easy to figure out without using a manual and most importantly, analog controls! Nothing like turning off your setup when finished without having to store your settings for next time.
