Brilliant headphones with amazing sound, great sound cancelling and lots of features.
Fantastic sound and noise cancellation, light and comfortable, however my massive ears cause a 'woffing' noise if I try to walk with them. Probably not going to be an issue for everyone, but I would try them first just in case. Please note also that I tried these in a local store, and the default setup they had for them was AWFUL, the identical headphones on my desk sounded much better, so never trust a shop demo...! I tried the ones my coworker had, and I was so impressed with the sound and the noise cancelling of the office A/C that I LITERALLY sat down on my PC and bought my own pair within 5 minutes. Apparently better than the BOSE QuietComfort 2 in every way other than walking comfort (did not try). One thing - they sounded a bit bassy by default, this was easily remedied with the phone app's EQ.Read full review

Good overall but I expected more for the price
Got this headphone a few days ago mainly due to the hype about it. These are my initial impressions. The headphone comes with a case, which is great. Aesthetically, it looks good. The build seems solid, and the headphone is also comfortable to wear. The headphone has some nice features, e.g. it has an NFC chip, which means you can turn on/off the headphone by placing your phone close to the left cup of the headphone if your phone has NFC. The right cup is touch enabled. You can move your finger up/down to increase/decrease the volume, or swipe forward/backward to skip tracks. Noise cancellation is good. I've heard some people complaining the latest firmware update made noise cancellation worse, but I can't confirm. I have to say I'm not quite sold on the sound. In terms of dynamics it's a bit lacking, and the bass is not as clean as i would've liked. Soundwise I expected more for the price.Read full review

Absolutely brilliant! Smart features and design mean you can do a lot without having to touch your phone. The app is great. So many options for assistance with Alexa etc. Awesome on transportation, especially on airplanes and cruise ship. Took them on holiday an were excellent for portability, sound quality, noise cancellation. I have the previous model and the Bose QCII’s & recommend these overall.

Great headphones that I don't regret buying
Great headphones for a great price. I got my second-hand and apart from one issue that I fixed after a day, it has been working perfect so far. Noise cancelling is great on these headphones when playing music (if you're not then obviously you'll be able to hear outside noises still, but it still pretty noise cancelling.) Audio quality is also very good, you won't get the whole soundstage as it's a close back, but for consumers the audio is nothing to complain about. There's also a auto ambient mode through the app that works surprisingly well; for example, I took it to a trip to the city and then back home and it would turn on noise cancelling or turn it off based on if I was on the train or if I was walking. The one issue I did have was that there was a strong 'wind-like' sound coming from the left ear cup when using noise cancelling. This is apparently based on which environment you're in, and it was quite annoying for the few days of having the issue. This has subsided thankfully and now it's back to normal. So to sum it up, while the naming of this product can be confusing for a lot of people, these are still great headphones that I don't regret buying.Read full review

Good sound quality, a few bugs
The sound quality is quite good, the adaptive sound system is not the greatest as it tends to lag a little so it will change if an announcement on a train is put out, but you'll miss the first part of it and then it will take a while to go back to the previous setting. I found it's easier just to not use it. I got brought these basically because I couldn't replacement the ear cushions on my Parrott Zik 3, I've found that the touch controls are nowhere near as responsive as the controls on my Zik 3 and feel a bit 'sticky' when trying to use them. It's also frustrating that you can't connect them to a computer using the USB cable that comes with them - I'm not sure what their thought process was with regards to this. Also the microphone on them tends to drop out when using it with a laptop - audio is fine, it's just the microphone that drops out after about 10mins of use.Read full review

great noise cancelling. the sony android app is better than expected as it does want to vacuum your data up. no permissions ! incredible and highly unexpected. thanks sony, for once you're the good guys. some weird noises while used on the move, but once not moving the noise cancelling is second to none. music quality is also right up there for NC phones. sony have a 'home run' on their hands with these. one single complaint. i have a big head, with big dumbo ears. the cups are just a little on the snug side, but the trade off (no noise) is well worth it. great fold up in the semi hard case. would absolutely buy again if these are ripped off/lost

Great consumer headphones
I highly recommend these. They are very, very good. A 'Goldilocks' sound signature. Not too detailed, bright, or bassy. Just middle of the road, all round, great sounding cans, perfect for all day use. Well balanced enough to take on pretty much all music types. Easy to use swipe controls that only took me a few practices to get the hang of, has great battery life, and the app is pretty amazing as well. These are a little smaller than most other over ear cans, but in this case that's a plus as it means you forget they are there. Incredibly light, super soft and comfy🤗 and they don't fall off. Easily one of the best sounding 'daytime' or 'portable' headphones around today, with the best anc (which I didn't care much for ... until I used it...omg it's goood!!!) In a quiet environment one 'might' use bigger corded cans - maybe some ath900's, sein650, or mono1060's...or whatever floats your critical listening boat, but any noise around, just bang on the mx3's) Read full review

Noise cancelling, great sound quality and comfort
Amazing noise cancelling puts you in a vacuum when you turn them on, and then the sound reproduction is extremely good. I haven't yet worn them for much longer than an hour or so so can't comment how they would be on a long flight, but they are very comfortable. I don't imagine they would become uncomfortable. A little warm maybe Only minor negative I have is wearing them on a bus, if the bus hours over bumpy road you do get some clunky rattling of the headband hitting top of the ear cups. Not significant enough for me to mark them down.

The King of NC Headphones.
The best of all you can ever find for NC & sound quality. The base is thumping but at the same time very soothing, the gesture feature to pause the NC just by placing your hand on the ear cup and ease of controlling the tracks and volume is superb . The sound quality would blow you off, especially the 3D surround sound on Tidal app gives a complete immersive experience. These cups are worth every penny.

Best noise cancelling wireless headphones
Best wireless headphones I have ever used. The noise cancelling is odd to get used to at first, just because I have never used noise cancelling that worked so well before, it seems weird to have these on and everything is so quiet. The google assistant intergration works really well. They are also really comfertable I could wear them all day with out soreness.
