      Excellent HP RAID controller

      Hp's P440 series controllers are excellent. Battery supported programmable cache is a great feature for optimizing read/write performance on the controller, and the battery can support numerous RAID controllers & configs, and prevent catastrophic data loss in the event of a power glitch or controller failure. This makes for simple and straight forward controller replacement and recovery without loss of controller config or data, even when data writes were being made during the failure.
