    A wonderful alternative

    Anyone who knows audio realizes that active crossovers are prohibitively expensive. Passive crossovers are not cheap either. What a brilliant idea to put a passive crossover in line on the low voltage. This can be accomplished at a fraction of the cost of an active crossover. These come in many different ranges, depending upon your system. What I was doing is sending a full spectrum signal to my subwoofer. With this (I got one that has a cutoff of 70hz) I do not get any vocals or high booming base from the subwoofer. I simply position it before the amplifier for the subwoofer. Awesome.

    FMOD LOWPASS FILTER

    I built my own stereo pair of sub woofers and started using in my garage system. I didn't want to buy an active crossover so I bought the FMOD low pass filters at 70 hertz.with 12db roll off. I plugged them into my sub woofer amp then plugged my interconnecst coming from my sub out of my preamp into the FMODs. I design and build my own Dynaudio bookshelf speakers so having a sub woofer is a must. My subs use SEAS 10 inch Norwegian woofers. Everything sounds great and well balanced. I couldn't more happier and pleased with this set up and it didn't break the bank.

    Crossover delight

    When you’re tri amping or quad amping you need the assistance of these inline crossovers. I don’t think this is a replacement for an electronic crossover. But in order to simplify installation this one way to crossover you frequency of you know your speakers capabilities. If you need micro second attack times and compresssion use the proper out board gear. You just need a temp crossover point in a mobile setup quickly. This is for you.
