The metal prongs/pins on the male connection side are not as thick as conventional plug pins, & as a result, the adapter doesn't hold in a power outlet as well as more conventional thicker pinned plugs. This is a design/manufacturing issue most probably done to save costs. However it can eventually cause arcing issues which at worst, cld result in fire &/or electrocution or death.
