I would give a 5 star rating, however I was surprised and dissatisfied to see that the included battery is a model BLS-5, manufactured over 12 years ago. (See attached photo.) The BLS-5 battery was superseded by the BLS-50 in 2014 and the camera's user manual specifies that a BLS-50 is included with the camera. Please explain why such an old battery was provided instead of the current model.

I verified with the seller and can confirm upon receiving, it is a Penn Slammer IV. The product was well packaged and in great condition. This is the best price I saw for an 8500 and it is legit. It also shipped very fast compared to other items I purchase around the same time.

Lightening fast shipping to the USA and 1000$ cheaper. The reel is excellent quality, brand new condition, exactly as described. It looks like it came factory direct from Diawa in Japan. English paperwork and directions which was another concern. Everything is legit. Excellent appearance and packaging. Warranty, paperwork, Reel clamp, hardware, reel cover, remote, and remote case included. Great communication.Thanks
