Installed it myself with help from a youtube video, so its definitely doable even if you have no experience like me. The hardest part was fitting everything back in. The cables take up a bit of space so its a tight squeeze. It works well, but note that it doesn't have wireless carplay - you need a separate adapter for that. Also requires a DAB dongle if you want digital radio. Both of those can just be plugged in to the provided USB ports.

You can’t load google maps, it does not allow you to effectively use the original idrive for connection to either the original head unit or the or the new wnx unit. As for the blue tooth connection it’s just garbage it connects when it feels like it, you can’t hurry it, it’s a waste of money, I have contacted them to try to fix it and no luck there.
