  • if You Don't Want Problems...stick with Sony A-mount Lenses

I bought this for my A7R, Because I don't want to buy into the over priced FE lenses. Trying to get a deal on this right now is impossible. SONY has put a strict no deals on the new price increases on everything, till they decide to put the MSRP down. I bought this used one with no original packaging, and only one lens cap. It came from a pawn shop, so Square Trade won't put an extended warranty on it. I had a LA-EA3 for my NEX 6 and it was always good. As far as using other new adapters where you can use your existing Canon, or Nikon, lenses. It is priced competitively actually. It will give best response with Minolta/Sony A mount AF lenses. Where as it is only certain Nikon, Canon lenses that work well with the other adapters, and only work well with gen 2 of A7 series cameras! So far it works well, but I bought a Kenko 2 x converter, and it works well with most Minolta/Sony A-mount lenses, but not so well with 3rd party Minolta/Sony A-mount lenses. But in manual focus mode it works fine. Do your research on DXO lenses and camera ratings. There's a few choice Minolta small prime lenses you can pick up in the $50-$300 and under, that work very well with this adapter too.

  • Great Adapter for Alpha to E-Mount lens

I wanted a mirrorless camera but could not afford to replace all my lenses. Once I saw this adapter I bought the Sony A7ii. If you have Minolta or other alpha mount auto focus lenses then the LA-EA4 is for you. It has a translucent mirror and auto focus is accomplished through the adapter. The auto focus speed is really good for a lens that is not native to the A7ii. At some point I will want at least one native E-mount lens but until then this is a great, economical way to move into the mirrorless camera world. This is an excellent adapter!

  • Great focusing capability

I'm using this adapted to use my A lenses into a Sony A7 full frame E-frame camera and I'm getting superb quality. The focusing is very precise which justifies the additional weight on the camera. I wasn't willing to give up my A-frame and Minolta lenses, so this adapter made it possible to continue using them on E-frame cameras.

  • Just what you need to Use A-Mount Lenses on a Sony e-mount Body

If you have Sony or Minolta A-mount lenses, this adapter enables full function on an e-mount body because it includes the translucent mirror and the screw-drive motor. The motor is powerful and quick, even with my Minolta 100-400. A tripod mount is included, which is great since the 100-400 does not have one. When used with a smaller Sony body like the a-6500, the extra lump on the left side of the LA-EA4 is also just right for hand holding a chunky full -frame A-mount Sony lens like the 16-50/2.8.

  • Great product to use between the A-mount and E-mount camera lenses.

It fits my A-mount lenses just fine, and the photo quality is as good as promised.

  • absolutely worth the money

If you want to use vintage AF minolta maxxum lens on your a series sony full frame digital camera this is the adapter for you. Most any A mount autofocus auto focus lens will work perfectly when used with this adapter. I've used Sigma a mounts, Sony a mounts, and Minolta maxxum lenses and had no problems and having full features. The adapter seems expensive but look at auto focus adapters for other brands and the sony adapter is a fair price.

  • Great adapter for Sony A mount lenses to E mount cameras

This item works well with my Sony/Carl Zeiss 85mm f1.4 and 135mm f1.8 lenses. It is well made with good fit and workmanship

  • Good purchase for using A-mount lenses on Sony E-mount camera

Item arrived clean in nice pouch. I have connected two different Minolta lenses (50 mm and the 'beercan' 70-210mm) to a Sony Alpha 7 body. Both work fine with this adapter.

  • Worth the money to me for the added flexibility

This adapter works perfectly!! I have both the A6000 & A7iii. I used my a-mount old zoom lens (APS-C) on the A6000 and my Minolta Maxxum lenses on the A7iii. Both took very good pictures. Auto focus was a bit slow and you do have fewer focus points using the adapter than with native lenses, but for the price I paid, I have the flexibility with being able to use my old lenses. I'm happy with the purchase!

  • It's the best of its kind..

If you use both alpha series Sony and emount then its either this or the LaEA5 adapter or you have no electronic linkage b/w lens and body. I bought this as it works fine..you do without anti-shake features using this but that's minor for me.
