It's going to do it!
great tool when you need to get on the grind, but don't want to mess around with a cord. Decent power, I sharpen all 3 blades on my zero turn mower easily with the small Ryobi battery. I leave the blades on the deck, and retract the deck to it's highest setting, and then angle the machine on the loading ramp of the trailer to afford better access to get underneath to get at the blades. It wont take the place of a corded grinder where there is sustained heavy grinding to be done, but we have a tool for that. Dont buy this grinder
Very poor performance, its impossible to use with a 3.6amp battery and it barely works with a 6 amp battery. It shuts off every 5 seconds. i had to buy a cheap corded grinder, works 100% better. i suggest people stick to cored grinders or pay the extra money for a more powerful one. not sure what is on the 4 screws either, (pics included) note:i only used it for cutting steel, so this review it limited.

The Ryobi 4 1/2” Angle Grinder lives up to my Ryobi Power Tool expectations. Though a bit heavier and larger than my corded 4 1/2” Angle Grinders it is a good addition to anyone’s portable power tool collection. After testing it on a moderate to heavy cutting basis I highly recommend using a 4 amp (4.0) battery. When using a 2.5 amp (2.5) the Ryobi Grinder would stop while cutting. Using a 4 amp (4.0) or higher rated battery the Ryobi Grinder preformed as expected. The tool less removal guard is plus design.

I just wanted a nice little cordless grinder to use for various projects. this one seems to fit the bill. I already had batteries for it and liked the fact that it was factory reconditioned. It works like new and really doesn't go thru batteries as bad as I thought it would.
