Amazing!
I have gone through three meat thermometers and although they had more features and a chord- slow, slow slow - about 15 seconds to find the temperature . This is super fast and worth every penny. So far great
I haven't tested for accuracy or anything like that but its fast and makes cooking chicken, well all meat , easy. No guesswork. Price is right too. I'd recommend this. I've worked as a "chef" in nice, nice restaurants. Buy it, you won't regret it. If Lavatools reads this all I'd say is put a strong magnet in it. But only if it won't up the price. Nice Quick Read Thermometer.
Was considering buying a much higher price thermometer, but decided to try this product from Lavatools instead. So far, I haven't been disappointed. Temperature settles to within a couple of tenths of a degree F in three to four seconds and the measurements have been repeatable. I use the thermometer for checking internal temperature when grilling or smoking meats and for checking the mash temperature when making beer. This thermometer is fast, accurate, and easy to use. I especially like that it contains a magnet so I can keep it handy but out of my way. Just what we needed
We had a cheapo meat thermometer and it stopped working so I opened it up and the battery was dead BUT there was no way to get the battery out. It was disposable. So I did my homework and did some research and from reviews and what I read the Javelin thermometer was the best and so I bought one. dont be without one...
almost everything is electro mechanical that can break. if you can tell if you have voltage, ac or dc, and if you have a good connection, ohms, you can usually figure out whats dropped out of the work ethic designed into the machine. these small in expensive volt ohmeters, wehen checked with expensive meters are generally really close. if you are designing circuits from scratch for a major company you should get bench models designed for extreme accuracy, but if you are fixing your diesel engine and need to know if a bad connection is causing an injectr to drop out, these work well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
