Great little unit
Hi I bought this because my daughter has one and it does make life a lot easier the good points are it's easy to clean, it cooks faster than an oven, you can open the draw unit to see how things are going at any time and when replaced it just carries on cooking, it heats up quicker than your oven and is rated power wise less than most ovens so saves you money on your electric bill, I still need to try more things to cook but it's great, it will cook chips in about 15 minutes and chicken wings in about 20 minutes. what you see on tv,is not what you get.
i saw the power air fryer xl on tv advertised by eric theiss. great product,great recipes. i bought one,and to my surprise. NO ERIC THEISS recipe book,and no solid insert for deserts. AS ADVERTISED BY ERIC THEISS HIM SELF. NOT HAPPY AS I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO MAKING HIS DOUGHNUT DESERT AMONGST OTHER RECIPES. Great air fryer
Updated information 10 months on: The non stick costing has started to come off and look unsightly, despite only hand-washing (I don’t trust non stick in a dishwasher). I’m not sure how much longer the basket will be useable and I’m not sure where to get a replacement. The 12 month guarantee is apparently worthless for this & I’ve had no help under the guarantee despite it being under a year old. Wasn’t sure what this would be like as I’d always had a Halo and was used to it. I like the halo too but this seemed more compact and a little easier to clean. So far, it’s great and I hadn’t realised how much difference it makes when choosing the temperature! The halo is fixed so this has been great! So easy to clean, cooks well and chips are very evenly browned. You do have to shake what you cook halfway through but I was doing that anyway so no issues! SIMPLICITY OF USE (put food in, set timer and go, and can adjust to suit) EASY TO CLEAN (just a damp warm soapy cloth and good to go again) NO FUSS ECONOMICAL (verses my previous broken oven) PRACTICAL (basket removes simply to pour food onto plate) FOOD IS PRETTY CRISPY (without all of the added oils used in oven cooking) This unit has performed better than I expected! I'm single guy, and this is the best thing since the microwave for when I'm in a hurry, or feeling like I can't be bothered to cook something. Obviously great for family use as well. I bought the 5L version so that I can get roast potatoes and chicken bits in together. It also has a separator which I barely use.
