    Great Product

    The PS3 had 3 issues, first issue was expected which it needed new thermal paste, I replaced the thermal paste. Second issues was the hdmi that came with the system replaced it with one I already had it works fine since then. Third issues was the ps3 power button/eject button didn't light up/didn't work but fixed it by using a new ribbon cable from the motherboard to the power/eject bar on the PS3, all issues was to be expected cause of the age of the system... since then the product worked as intended no more issues at all.. A++ product!

    Reliable, CFW-compatible, and easy to manage

    The CECH-25xx is the last of the models of the PS3 to be able to install custom firmware (CFW). It's a very reliable system (it takes long time before a PS3 Slim undergoes a Yellow Light of Death), which is the main reason I purchased it, but it has other perks, too! Not only does the power supply take less voltage, but it's also lighter, which makes it easier to lug around if you find yourself needing to switch it out for something else every now and again. They're also really cheap! I got mine for <$100, including tax and shipping! Overall, to anybody aiming to purchase a PS3 so long after its official discontinuation, a CECH-25xx is (if you're not looking for PS2 backwards compatibility) THE model to get. P.S. Watch out! Not all CECH-25xx systems can run CFW! If the date code is 0, 9, ...

However, the controller might be a phony, although I won't blame the seller for this because it is very close to looking genuine with a few minor differences that they weren't probably looking for. Also the fact that it lacks motion control. I'd say get a OEM PS3 controller along with this. Overall, I'd say it was worth it for what you're getting.

    The Playstation 3 works perfectly. I had no problem setting it up and getting it started. I really appreciated the the included HDMI cable as well. The controller seemed basically brand new as well. I'm so glad that I finally can play all my PS3 games again after my previous one's disc drive stopped working.
