    Works excellent for recording 1080P gami...

    Works excellent for recording 1080P gaming output. This item is sensitive to HDCP. If your gaming source is unable to turn off HDCP, a splitter will be necessary to record your gaming video. Although this is a 4K device, it will not record in 4K. The computer software that is included as a free download is easy to use but only works with a 64 bit system. The standalone recording ability is very good. Overall I find this a simple easy to use 1080P game recording device.

    The AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus GC513 works well

    My daughter wanted this so that she could record her PlayStation 4 Project DIVA gameplay in 60 fps. The AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus works well for this purpose. She is able to use this without a laptop, though this works with Windows also. If you use this with the PS4, make sure that you disable HDCP, or the AVerMedia won't record.
