    Great Show

    These discs are of great quality, no faded look to them. This series of a private investigator harken back to the days of great action without cussing or nudity. Robert Urich portrays Spenser, a tough private investigator who is an excellent cook, and often quotes poetry in his everyday conversations. A supporting actor is Hawk, portrayed by Avery Brooks. Hawk is what you would call an enforcer for hire, but he has a code of ethics he follows. The two characters have a great rapport and solve case after case.

    Spenser and Hawk had a GREAT relationship. from 2 different worlds but had love and respect for one another. both would beat that ass and both highly intelligent. GREAT writing and one of my favorite shows of all time.

    Spenser's still got it!

    I loved Spenser when it was on TV, and I still doj! I'm very happy I was able to find these brand new DVDs and watch the seasons whenever I want. The characters have lost nothing, but I do notice there are no cell phones or computers!

    I enjoyed season 1 better, but this was good too.

    I enjoyed this series when it was on because it was one of those few shows that was ahead of the times and discussed real issues. However I did like season 1 better than the second.
