For starters, I purchased this exact fragrance from Nordstrom, 3.3 oz., a few days before I purchased the "exact" fragrance from a vendor on Ebay . I paid $110 at Nordstrom. I paid <$52> here. Let us start with Nordstrom. The Nordstrom purchase was the best one. The UPC code ended in 400003. This is the Hermes Terre D'Hermes that everyone used to rave about. It has more of a citrus top and is a very good alternate to Creed Aventus. It is citrus enough to be used as a spring/summer night fragrance in my opinion. The Hermes does not have quite the longevity as the Creed (I mean, Creed is just the best, bar none...sorry) but it is a little lighter in the dry down. Some people prefer that. The Ebay purchase UPC code ended in 400058. This is the "reformulated" Hermes Terre D'Hermes that have turned people away from this fragrance lately. I still think it is a very good fragrance, though. There's not much citrus, and mainly just a woodsy top. I suspect this variation of Hermes Terre D'Hermes is more of a winter "every day" type fragrance which still beats out a lot of the competition...yet it is nothing spectacular. I would call it a "safe" winter fragrance. I would have returned if I paid much more than I did. A fair deal. "Safe" fragrances only get an average rating. Watch the UPC codes. If you find one on Ebay ending in UPC 400003, and you can get at 3.3 oz. under $60...it is a good deal.Read full review
I love it! I don't smell the strong orange opening that some people do, whether that's due to my nose or the weather or possible batch variations I really couldn't say, but I'm glad it smells more woody and earthy than citrus. It's a terrific cologne that could be worn to the office or on a date. It's not the sexiest scent for women I wouldn't think (most women seem to prefer sweeter smells on men these days), but it smells like something a successful and confident man of good taste would wear. Great projection and longevity, too.

Wonderful fragrance. More of a classic smelling men’s fragrance but it’s done very well. If you’re into fragrances such as acqua di gio profumo then you’ll probably like this.

I first was introduced to this parfume by a salesperson at the bay and I could not shake the amazing smell off the whole time i was in the mall i had to buy myself a bottle of my own. And so I did and since then this is my third purchase of this parfume; its light and it lasts long could not say nothing but great things for this parfume.
