Well worth the money
I bought one of those cheap vacuum pumps and it died after about 5 hours of use. The first time I used this it was running for 5 hours straight with no problems. Relatively quiet, pulls a vacuum to 29 in my 2.5 gallon chamber quickly, and is larger and heavier than those cheapos, which means it's much higher quality. If you want problem free performance, spend the money on a Robinair pump. If you prefer to waste your money on a dud with a very limited lifespan, get the cheapo.I bought one of those cheap vacuum pumps and it died after about 5 hours of use. One of the best pumps I have had yet!
Have used some rinky dink pumps 1.8 cfm and they worked ok for what I needed but now with this pump I get much better and faster vacuum pulls and I can do so much more. Excellent for automotive use in my opinion!

Been down the road with Made in PRC brand products for years. This is one of the good ones. Actually, great ones. Fast to full draw, quiet, and appears to have excellent fit and finish. Much nicer in person than in the photos. The red plastic is robust not chintzy and thin. Would recommend with no problems. Needs a trip to the hardware store for brass fittings to connect to gear you own. No biggie. Good machine. Don't buy the cheapest single stage- you'll be glad you splurged.
