I bought the Grey in a 44. I work as a game ranger in Africa so I'm on my feet in pretty rough terrain most days. These are very, very lightweight but so far (2 months) they are holding up very well. No obvious wear to uppers or soles. The soles are very grippy - I was surprised how good they are, especially on wet laterite which can be like grease. They do tend to pick up small stones between the treads. I could fix this by cutting out what I take to be the moulding sprue lines but I am loathe to do so. The soles are very tough. These are basically like wearing a sole unit alone with no upper. Weight is negligible. They are not at all waterproof. I tried a double coating of Nixwax with strictly limited success. I would say they fit true to size. I normally take a UK 9 in a shoe and size up a little in a boot. I need not have done so with these. The canvas gives a tiny bit with use, But the next pair I buy will be a 9. Do be aware that the grey boots I bought came with a light grey sole and toe unit. Not really a show stopper out here but I was expecting black, as per the pictures.Read full review

I've recently climbed on the 10,000 steps bandwagon, and quickly discovered that my current stock of footwear wasn't up to the task. I recalled these, having seen them years ago, and set out to find them. I did- and they're perfect. Lightweight, comfortable, durable, and stylish- they're perfect. They're the first pair of lace up shoes I've owned for a while and I was a bit concerned about lacing them up every time I set out- but it's nothing at all. I'm putting 30 miles a week on them and they feel fine.
