Makita 9227C is an Excellent item for professional use.
Very proficient variable speed buffer/polisher. I use these in my profession and they hold up well. Highly recommended over an air driven tool… these don’t spit ice from the air exit during prolonged use! Two thumbs up! 👍👍

Makita 9237cx3 7“ Polisher
I used to own thr previous model Makita which was a workhorse, I have a 34’ boat and I typicslly will work the polisher hard for hours & hours, I would always get exhausted before the polisher shows any signs of being overworked, overhesting, etc. I made the mistake of lending my tried & true Makita to a, at that time friend, and that was the last I ever saw of my trusty polisher. I did decide to buy the newer cx3 model, which is the same polisher only with a smaller screen filter to stop the fibers from the wool pads from getting into the cooling vent, a stronger cord end at the machine, and rubber over the housing and handle, honestly I never had a problem with my original machine with regards to me scratching anything by letting the housing come in contact with it, or the cord end, ... Workhouse of the industry
This device is a monster to use. Do yourself a favor and get a Foam pad, I was ready to go to final polish w 1 pass is most cases. Set speed just as requested by Compound /Polish manufacturer. Had been using a B&D polisher for years, I see why it wore out. Wasn't built for rugged use. e
