Simple and Effective
So I ordered this as a mic stand for a Rode NT1. Unfortunately the base was too small and the mic just toppled over. Fortunately I had an old Maplin stand that had an extendable arm, which wasn't really what I wanted. I swapped the arm of this one and the base of the Maplin one and voila! Problem solved. I think this would work for most mics e.g SM57, 58, etc The base is a good size for these mics. The quality of build is good and a very reasonable price too. Just wish they would spell "Quality" correctly in their description as spelling errors really twist my lemon. So I ordered this as a mic stand for a Rode NT1. Great for vintage microphones
Nice look and the right weight if you want to display old Fatboys or Turner 33s etc. A bit to light in the bottom plate to put old ribbon mics on it as it may fall. But a nice stand for a great price. Jorgen/Red West Production.

Really heavyweight build quality for the price. It feels good. Sort of want the stand itself to be taller / longer but I think then it will overbalance. Going to try it with a heavy Aston Stealth for some Voice Over stuff and think it will do a good job.
