I do a lot of deep tissue body work as an acupuncturist specializing in pain management. My forearms get a work out...this device is a life saver for me. I love it. I would not of considered such a device on my own; one of my coulgues uses this device, she is a chiropractor. I tried hers I loved it and bought one for myself.

I bought this item based on the good reviews it has received. After using it several times I do not know how anyone could view it positivity. For starters its construction is the epitome of "off shore" quality. the rollers are hard and painful with uneven rolling balance which effects the application of pressure (they wobble). Roller material is somewhat soft but is way to thin. Basically the hard roller base is coated with a very thin rubber skin that offers no relief of comfort to the user from the hardness of the base material the roller is made out of. The machine exudes an unsettling crunching grinding nose when the arm is pushed through the rollers, even when no tension is applied.Similar to pushing my hand through a pair of baking rolling pins the roller material is hard and unyielding. Personally I can not envision using the unit with any pressure/tension as the force of the hard rollers into my flesh would be unbearable. To follow the instructions is to cause me excruciating pain. I find I need to lift or separate the rollers at the point where my wrist enters the unit to allow mt wrist to pass the mangle. Otherwise the bones in my wrist are used for force open the hard rollers causing extreme pain. I believe this is partly do to to the very jerky, uneven and un-precise (read poorly constructed) movements of the machine. Once the arm is in the machine past the wrist, the unit begins to make a little more sense as there seems to be some possibility for mild relief of deep tissue issues. However I am unable to use the unit from hand to elbow as describe. I suffer from carpel and have found this device totally worthless for any wrist relief. This unit is actually a good Idea showing promise. With some refinement to the thickness and quality of the roller material, more precise/less binding movements and an overall "up-tick" in quality it may be useful. Unfortunately for me, in current form, I find it worthless, even counter productive causing more pain than relief for my critical areas. In today's marketplace, you get what you pay for. I was expecting too much for the practice point.Read full review

It does what the advertisement says it will do. In other words, there are not any misleading claims. That is the only reason for the five stars and not fewer stars. You have got to press downwards on the top roller in order to get into the deep muscle tissue.
