When I rented my first apartment I was given this edition that was bound. For a novice cook it had easy to follow recipes as I even learned how to make homemade egg noodles like my grandmother made. After 30 some years of using it the binding gave way. Time for a replacement and found this in a binder format. I have made adjustments to some of the recipes but overall every recipe I ever tried came out tasty!

I bought this because I was given a brand new one 27 years ago when I got married. I used it almost every day. So when each of my children get married, I find them a copy becaue this is one of the best cookbooks out there for a beginner. It has everything you need to know about how to get started with basics like freezing food, cooking from scratch, canning, everything. There was a little water damage in one area throughout the book, like a corner got wet. But it does not effect the usability of the product.
This cookbook was something my sister wanted because it is the same year as the one our mother had. The book was in very good condition, every page was pristine
