Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Sights
My wife and I are new to archery, but we are experienced shooters who don't believe in buying cheap equipment. We are expanding from hunting bows to target archery, and the Axcel Accutouch is the first sight that we've purchased for our target bows. The sight appears to be constructed of decent materials, although it has more of a plastic feel than I would like. I suppose the plastic parts are necessary because it is cheaper than any of the straight target sights. The sight comes with a scope, which is normally sold separately with the dedicated target sights. I would say that this sight is better suited to 3D or hunting from a blind, than target shooting or stalking. It doesn't seem to be as robust as the single pin sights on our hunting bows, but the adjustments aren't as accurate as what I would expect on a true target sight. I don't mind the windage adjustment since it has clicks, but the elevation adjustment just continuously slides (although it is adjusted by a dial) so you don't have any idea how far you have raised or lowered it. The system depends on you sighting it in, then setting Accuclicks for whatever yardage you want. These are accurate enough for hunting, or maybe 3D, but I don't think they are adequate for hitting little spots, and the adjustments seem too crude to be able to quickly make micro adjustments to account for changing conditions. Once you do get it sighted in, it holds its zero as long as nothing changes. All in all, it's OK for the money ($285-$325), but it is a compromise if you are looking for true target equipment. Had I known better, I would have probably got an Axcel Acheive or similar from a competing manufacturer.Read full review
