Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Flashes
Almost 1 year ago, I bought a Promaster FL1 for Nikon. The buttons started failing and the display started going out. Luckily, I bought it from a local camera shop and they exchanged it for a new one with no questions asked. I recently bought a used FL1 on eBay as a backup. It works perfectly. Only two complaints. One complaint is there is a bit of lag when pressing the menu/setting buttons. But if I press and wait then press and wait, it scrolls through the settings fine. The second complaint is that high-speed sync settings when using radio triggers look a bit different from one flash and the other. One flash says "TTL BL" and the other says "iTTL." This is not a big deal since I labeled each flash, but it freaked me out at first. Both flashes show "TTL BL" when mounted on the hot-shoe. Build quality, power levels, battery life, and recycle times are all good. I would buy a third FL1 and I would recommend it to friends. On eBay, they run about $269 new. They run $349 at the local camera store, and with easy, no questions asked returns for the first year. I am not sure of online/eBay warranty and returns.Read full review
